May Day Rally in Lebanon, NH • Basket of Betrayals

May 1, 2025 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. • Colburn Park in Lebanon, NH

On Thursday, May 1, 2025, the Upper Valley Coalition welcomes you, your family, and your friends for a rally in Colburn Park in Lebanon, NH from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. to support the restoration of our constitutional principles in a movement of on-the-ground and local resistance.

This outdoor gathering is a continuation of the monthly UVC gatherings that have been held since February at the First Congregational Church in Lebanon. The bigger space available in Colburn Park gives UVC the opportunity to welcome even more folks into our local resistance movement.

“We recognize that the chaos generated by this Administration is just the beginning,” UVC co-founder Don Collins said. “The Upper Valley Coalition is a long-term project. Our goal is to create a sensible local, regional, and bi-state effort to protect the rights we enjoy as citizens of New Hampshire and Vermont, and to roll back the regressive policies of the current Administration in Washington as well as at the state levels in Concord and Montpelier.”

The goal of the Upper Valley Coalition is to connect people and resources with one another so that we protect what we can, preserve what we must, and prepare for the post-MAGA future of our bi-state region.

Approximately 2,500 people from the Upper Valley showed up for the April 5 Hands-Off protests in locations around the region. The UVC builds on their energy by providing tools and connections to help the organizations, friends, and neighbors whose lives and livelihoods have been turned inside out since January 20, 2025. This UVC is committed to protecting the best of ourselves in the present while building a stronger and better future together. 

The Basket of Betrayals rally in Colburn Park in Lebanon on May 1 (from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m.) is an opportunity to meet friends you didn’t know, to learn more about the important organizations working to preserve our democracy, and to find the place in your state, region or town where you can join the resistance.

There is something for everyone to do.
